Welcome to the Home Page of  THE 10th Virginia.
 

We are a group of dedicated historians, incorporated in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a non-profit educational historical unit.  We all have a love of Virginia history and wish to share our knowledge with the public.

Our purpose is:    To provide the general public with an avenue to increase their knowledge of, and interest in, the War Between the States.   To perpetuate and commemorate the memory of the soldiers of the 10th Virginia Volunteer Infantry Regiment.   To strive to teach the public about these men, their way of life, mode of living, drill, battle tactics, knowledge, attitudes, etc., accomplished primarily through the proper portrayal of the soldier of the 10th Virginia in a living history format during demonstrations, reenactments, and camp displays; educational programs for schools, historical organizations, and other interested parties;  participation in appropriate ceremonies, and assisting in the preservation of local, state, and national historical sites dealing with the War Between the States.  Historical authenticity in all actions is of the utmost importance to accomplish the purpose of the organization.
